LILY & ROO BRIDES: Phoebe's Wedding Jewellery

On 13th September 2025, Phoebe and Will were married at a lovely church in Shincliffe village, Durham, followed by a marquee reception in Phoebe's parents' garden.

With a typical English marquee garden wedding, the day was family-oriented, intimate, relaxed and full of meaningful personal touches. From Phoebe's pearl choker and bracelet, a gift from her Mum, to being lifted onto their friends' shoulders at the end of the night, the day was one full of love from start to finish.

The Love Story

Phoebe and Will met at school many years ago and have been together ever since, nearly 14 years by the time they married.

A relationship that began so early in life carried them through school, into adulthood and, eventually, to their wedding day. For Phoebe, marrying the person she had grown up alongside made the day feel all the more meaningful.

The Day

For their wedding, Phoebe and Will chose a classic English marquee garden celebration, held in the setting of Phoebe's parents' garden after their ceremony at a church in Shincliffe village.

It was, in Phoebe's words, very family-oriented, intimate, relaxed and full of meaningful personal touches, a day built around the people closest to them rather than any single grand gesture. When asked to choose a favourite moment, Phoebe found it difficult to settle on just one. Walking back down the aisle and seeing everyone for the first time as a married couple, the speeches, and the dance floor at the end of the night, surrounded by so much love, all stayed with her.

One moment in particular she'll never forget: being lifted onto their friends' shoulders as the celebrations reached their peak.

The Jewellery

For her wedding day, Phoebe wore our Gold Ten Pearl Choker and matching Gold Five Pearl Bracelet, a gift from her Mum.

"They were a gift from my Mum and I've worn them countless times since - I wanted something I could wear again but they will always remind me of my wedding. I've been a big fan of the brand for years, and my wedding was 6 months before I started working at LILY & ROO, so it was a very full-circle moment for me."

Phoebe is now our Head of Marketing at LILY & ROO, having joined the team just six months after her wedding day. It means her choker and bracelet carry a double significance, marking not only her wedding but the beginning of her own journey with the brand.

We love hearing how a piece chosen for one day can go on to become part of everyday life, carrying its original meaning with it each time it's worn!

Her Advice To Other Brides

Having experienced first-hand just how quickly a wedding day passes, Phoebe's advice to future brides is simple: soak up every second.

Everyone says it goes quickly, but until you experience it yourself, you don't quite understand how quickly it really does fly. It's also the one time you'll have everyone you and your partner love all together in one place, and it really hit Phoebe when she was looking out at everyone during the speeches.

She'd also encourage brides to stay close to their partner as much as possible throughout the day, so you experience everything together and come away with shared memories. It would have been easy to get swept up in the day and hardly see each other.

Why LILY & ROO

For Phoebe, LILY & ROO has long meant timeless, elegant and high-quality jewellery, made all the more special by being handmade. Having first discovered the brand for her wedding day, she has since found herself expanding her everyday collection, recently adding the Gold Twisted T-Bar Necklace.

Phoebe already knows what's next on her list. A pair of handmade pearl earrings to match her wedding jewellery are high on her wishlist, alongside our Curve Initial Letter Necklace and a few upcoming pieces she has her eye on ahead of their release later in the year.

"I am a huge fan of LILY & ROO - it's timeless, elegant and high-quality jewellery, and I absolutely love that it is handmade. I first discovered the brand for my wedding day, and I'm now expanding my everyday collection. There really is something for every occasion."

For Phoebe, each new piece continues a story that began long before her wedding day, one that now carries into her everyday life and, fittingly, into her work with the brand itself.
